Purple Care

About Purple Care

There is a purple half hour over Keller in late spring, after the sun drops behind the western ridges and before the porch lights come on, when the freshly cut lawns hold the color of the sky. Purple Care aims the day's work at that moment — mowing done, edges cut back to a clean line, the trimmer through the fence corners, the walks and drives blown clear well before evening. Grass on this sandy ground puts on real growth between rains in April and May, and staying on interval is the difference between a lawn kept and a lawn caught up with. The route runs through Keller neighborhoods and out into the towns that border it. Come the purple hour, the yards along the block look settled, which is the entire idea.
