Fraser & Co. Land Clearing

About Fraser & Co. Land Clearing

West of Johnson City the country turns to cedar brake and granite, and grass grows in whatever ground the limestone will allow. Fraser & Co. Land Clearing works that terrain with a mower deck and a trimmer line — pasture-edge lawns knocked down, fencelines cut back to the wire, shrubs pulled off the porch rail. Late-summer afternoons come in hot and dead still out here, so the tall stuff gets cut early, before the heat sets its full weight down. Trimmings and clippings are gathered up and hauled rather than left to bleach in the sun. By evening a place that had gone shaggy sits open and squared away under the hills.
