Partin Mowing

About Partin Mowing

South and west of Jacksonville the ground falls away toward the Neches bottoms, and out there property gets measured in pastures rather than lots. Partin Mowing works that scale — acreage cut in long passes, field edges brought back, the rough ground around barns and equipment sheds knocked down before it turns into something worse. September is a good month for it: the heat has finally let up a degree or two, the grass is still growing, and the dust hangs behind the tractor in the late light. Trimming and edging happen around the house at the same visit, so the yard and the acreage finish together. From Jacksonville out toward Rusk, Alto and Wells, the satisfaction is in looking back over a field that reads flat and clean all the way to the treeline.
