ELMERS' PASTURE SPRAYING

About ELMERS' PASTURE SPRAYING

By seven on a June morning the dew is still lying across the hay meadows east of Jacksonville, and the air already carries the weight the afternoon is going to bring. ELMERS' PASTURE SPRAYING works that early window, treating pastures and fields where bitterweed, thistle and briars are quietly taking grazing ground away from the grass. In Cherokee County a pasture can look fine from the truck and tell a very different story once you walk it, so the job begins with knowing what is actually growing out there. Spraying is patient work — timing, coverage, and the discipline to stop when the wind picks up. Across Jacksonville, Alto, Gallatin and the surrounding country, the result shows up weeks later as open pasture that has gone back to being grass.
