Bentley's Lawn Care and Maintenance

About Bentley's Lawn Care and Maintenance

Saturday morning downtown, the brick fronts along Commerce catch the first light and the old depot sits quiet beside the tracks while Jacksonville wakes up one block at a time. Bentley's Lawn Care and Maintenance is usually already turning a mower somewhere behind those streets, in the shaded older neighborhoods where the yards are deep and the trees are older than the houses. The work is steady rather than showy — mowing on a rhythm, trimming around fences and flower beds, edging until the sidewalk line reappears, then blowing everything back onto the grass where it belongs. In this part of East Texas the grass keeps growing well past the point most folks expect it to stop, so the schedule holds through the warm end of the year. Across Jacksonville and out toward Rusk and Dialville, it adds up to yards that never look like they got away from anyone.
