Gaston Turf Management

About Gaston Turf Management

Each winter the rice country around Iago fills with geese, long skeins of them settling onto the flooded fields of Wharton County while lawns in town sit low and dormant. Gaston Turf Management works with turf as something to manage, not merely to cut. That means mowing to a height that suits the grass, keeping weeds from gaining a foothold and tending a yard so it greens evenly once spring warms the coastal plain. The land here lies flat and open, so sun and wind reach every corner of a lawn. Come April, managed turf looks uniform from the porch steps all the way out to the road.
