About Garcia Grass Humble Tx

In July the cicadas start up in the live oaks by ten in the morning and never let go, and the shade under those heavy limbs is the coolest place on the block. Garcia Grass works straight through it — mowing, edging, string-trimming the fence lines and around the mailbox post, then clearing every clipping off the concrete. Humble summers ask something of a person, and the answer is water, an early start and a sharp blade. Come evening the yard sits trim and even under the porch light, cut lines still catching the last of the sun. That is what a week of it is for.
