About G&L Olvera Services

A Saturday in Hudson Oaks sounds like cicadas and mowers, one yard picking up where the last one left off down the block. That is the shape of this work, a route rather than a job, the same properties week to week, mowing and edging and trimming until a whole street reads as one continuous thing. Fall brings the leaves down off the oaks in a slow rain that lasts six weeks, and those get gathered too, along with the general cleanup a yard collects over a season. The land rolls just enough that no two lawns drain alike, which is something you learn by pushing a mower across them. It is ordinary work, done well, on a stretch of road that keeps filling in.
