About Muscle Co.

Late in the day the sun sets straight down the old rail corridor that made Howe a town, and the smell of cut grass hangs in the still air until dark. Muscle Co. works the yards between the highway and the pastures — mowing, edging, trimming, hedge and shrub tidying, debris carried off. Out on this prairie there is nothing between a house and the wind but the yard around it, so a kept yard is what makes the ground feel like home. The satisfaction lives in the details: a crisp line where turf meets concrete, not a clipping left on the drive. Same care every week, whether anyone is watching or not.
