About Street2Streetcuts Lanscapen

Late afternoon in Third Ward, the light comes in low along Emancipation Avenue and every uncut lot looks twice as tall as it really is. Street2Streetcuts Lanscapen works the way the name says — one street, then the next, mowing and trimming yards and vacant corners from the blocks near Emancipation Park out toward MacGregor and Almeda. Grass here grows hard and fast after a Gulf rain, so a lot that got away from somebody comes back down in a single visit, clippings hauled off, the walk edged clean where the sidewalk meets the lawn. The satisfaction is neighborly and immediate: a block that looked forgotten in the morning looks looked-after by dark. That is the kind of change a whole street can see from the porch.
