Sandy Lawn Care

About Sandy Lawn Care

The ground changes south of the Brazos: sandy loam instead of gumbo clay, soil that drains fast and dries faster, so a lawn in Sugar Land tells you within a day when it has been neglected. Sandy Lawn Care reads that soil for what it is, mowing high enough to shade the roots and edging clean along the wide curving drives that the newer sections were built with. Trimming follows fence lines and tree rings, walks and drives get blown down, and beds get weeded and mulched to keep moisture where the roots can use it. Shrubs are held to a shape that suits the front of the house instead of hiding it. Late in the day, with the light going gold over the old sugar mill town and the sprinklers just coming on, a finished yard here looks cool and even and entirely on purpose.
