Peace Lawn & Tree Care

About Peace Lawn & Tree Care

October is the month Memorial exhales — the air finally thins, the pecans start dropping on the driveways, and the live oaks show which limbs did not survive the summer. Peace Lawn & Tree Care moves through it on both fronts, taking the deadwood out of the canopy and raising the lower limbs so light can reach the turf again, then cutting and edging what grows underneath. Under old trees a lawn is a negotiation, and the mowing height, the trimming line, the leaf removal all follow the shade instead of fighting it. Beds get cleared of pecan hulls and leaf drift, hedges get a clean top and face, and the walks are blown down to the last bit of grit. By dusk, when the mockingbirds start up again in the Bunker Hill oaks, the yard reads calm — which is what the name has always been about.
