About Jasso's Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance

Out here the day starts before the heat does. In Horizon City the sun comes up behind the Hueco range and the Franklins go rose-colored to the west, and that hour — cool, still, the air smelling of creosote — is when a mower does its cleanest work. Jasso's Landscaping and Lawn Maintenance keeps desert-town yards mowed, edged and trimmed, with the clippings blown off the walk before the wind can carry them somewhere else. Bermuda grass earns every inch it holds in this soil, so a straight edge along a caliche driveway is worth something. By the time the pavement begins to shimmer, the lawn is cut and the gate is latched behind us.
