Genesis Curb Appeal

About Genesis Curb Appeal

In late winter the live oaks of Hollywood Park do their strange trick and drop last year's leaves all at once, and for two weeks the streets and lawns wear a brown coat that nobody ordered. Genesis Curb Appeal turns up for exactly that — clearing the leaf fall off grass and beds, mowing once the green pushes through underneath, then cutting a clean edge along the curb so the whole front of the house lines up. Curb appeal is a fair name for the work, because the first thing anyone sees is that boundary between lawn and street, and either it is sharp or it is not. Through the hot months the visits keep the grass even under the oak shade and the borders trimmed by hand where a mower cannot reach. A house on a quiet Bexar County cul-de-sac deserves to look composed, and that is what gets left behind.
