About John's lawn services

Harlingen wakes under low river fog, the Arroyo Colorado breathing mist over the bank grass until the sun burns it off. John's lawn services starts in that gray hour, when the St. Augustine is still heavy with dew and mourning doves are the loudest thing on the block. Mowing and edging come first, then string trimming around posts and pilings, then the blower walking the concrete clean so the drive lies bare and the walk shows its real color. Hedge work and yard cleanups fill the back half of the morning, before the heat settles in for good. By the time the street is fully awake the yard is finished, and the mower lines are still holding straight.
