Third Coast Lawn Service

About Third Coast Lawn Service

Out past the last row of houses the land gives way to marsh and open water, and the wind crossing Groves carries salt in it all the way from Sabine Lake. Third Coast Lawn Service works in that air, mowing, trimming and edging yards that grow hard in a climate with almost no off switch. Salt, sun and sudden rain are the local conditions, and turf out this way wants cutting on a rhythm rather than a whim. A finished lawn set against that big flat horizon has a satisfying squareness to it — hemmed in, clean at every border, while the sky does whatever it likes. That contrast, a kept yard against an open coast, is honestly the pleasure of the job.
