All About Lawns

About All About Lawns

Scenic Loop Road winds through Grey Forest beneath a deep canopy of live oaks, and Helotes Creek cuts its way through the limestone hills of this small city northwest of San Antonio. All About Lawns works in this shaded, rocky Hill Country setting, where grass grows in dappled light and thin soil rather than open sun. Mowing around old oak roots, trimming around stone outcrops and keeping edges true beneath low branches all call for a light, attentive touch. After a spring rain the creek runs, the woods smell of wet cedar and leaf litter, and fresh blades rise green in every sunny gap. A yard tended like that looks at home beneath the trees, orderly and cool in the shade.
