Lawn Stars

About Lawn Stars

Before dawn the sky over the Highland Lakes still has all its stars in it, and the only sound in Granite Shoals is a truck door and the ramp coming down. Lawn Stars starts there, cutting the first yards while the air is cool and the grass is wet enough to slice clean. There is something worth getting up for in watching a street come into daylight already mowed. Edges are run, corners trimmed, walks blown clear, and the crew moves on before most people have finished their coffee. By the time the heat arrives, the yards are done and the day belongs to the lake.
