Nature's Edge

About Nature's Edge

By November the lake sits a little lower against its shoreline, the mornings turn genuinely cool, and the oaks around Granite Shoals hold their leaves stubbornly into December. Nature's Edge works that slow season on the details — beds cut back to a defined border, leaves pulled off the turf, the last mowings taken even and low. Where a lawn meets a limestone step or a gravel path, the line between them is drawn on purpose, and drawing it well is most of the pleasure of the job. Winter here is short and mild, so the yards never really disappear; they just get quiet. Come February the pace lifts again and the same borders are still holding.
