A-PLUS LAWN CARE

About A-PLUS LAWN CARE

By ten in July the cicadas have taken over Hood County and the heat comes up off the pavement in sheets. A-PLUS LAWN CARE works ahead of it — mowing, trimming and edging finished while the shade under a live oak is still worth standing in. Bermuda grass grows hard in a Texas summer, and keeping it even takes a steady weekly hand rather than a heroic one. There is a plain satisfaction in a yard that looks tended at the height of the season, when everything else is going brown at the edges. The mower cools in the trailer, the street goes quiet again, and the lines hold until next week.
