About Agave LD of Georgetown

West of Georgetown the ground stops pretending and turns to caliche, white as bone under a July sun, and the yards out there ask a different question than the ones on black dirt. Agave LD of Georgetown works those hard-edged lots where the Hill Country begins — mowing, edging, trimming around the rock and the gravel beds, keeping everything clear of what wandered in on the wind. Summer here is one long argument with the heat, and the answer is an early start: sharp blades, the deck set high so the roots keep their own shade, walks swept before the pavement gets too hot to kneel on. When the first cool front finally slides down in October the grass lets out its breath, and the work turns to cutbacks, bed edging and hauling off what the season left. It is plain labor and it shows plainly — a yard that looks intended rather than merely survived.
