Garza's Landscape

About Garza's Landscape

In a good season, September finally brings the rain Garza has been waiting on all summer, heavy storms off the Gulf that drum on the roofs through a long gray afternoon. Within days the cenizo answers, its silvery shrubs suddenly crowded with lavender flowers, which is why Texans call it the barometer bush. Garza's Landscape works in that season of renewal, shaping beds, tending plantings and bringing lawns back from the long dry stretch of August. Wet ground and warm air push the grass hard, so steady mowing keeps it even and full instead of shaggy. Once the clouds pass, the yards stand rinsed and bright under a washed-clean sky.
