Carter's tree service

About Carter's tree service

Up on the caprock where the plains break open toward the Canadian River, a tree is something somebody planted on purpose and then defended. Carter's tree service trims and prunes those hard-won crowns so they hold shape against a wind that never fully quits, and removes the ones that long drought or a lightning strike has finished. After a storm rolls off the breaks, limbs end up in the stock pens and across the drives above Lake Meredith, and the cleanup runs until the place looks like ranch country again — swept, open, nothing left to catch a tire. Out through Borger, Sanford and Stinnett, the payoff is one more shade tree standing another twenty summers over a house on the high plains.
