A&B Mowing

About A&B Mowing

Dawn comes early to Frisco in summer, and the grass along the Stewart Creek greenbelt holds its dew for about an hour before the heat takes it back. A&B Mowing works that hour — the deck set high enough that Bermuda never gets scalped, the wheel marks laid down in long parallel runs across a front yard. Mowing, string trimming and edging are the whole of the trade here, and the whole of it is done in order, so the walk gets swept last and the driveway is bare when the truck pulls away. By nine the pavement is already throwing heat and the shade has slid off the porch, and the lawn left behind looks like a page ruled with a straightedge. That is the pleasure of it: an ordinary yard on an ordinary Collin County street, made suddenly deliberate.
