About Sebesta Lawn Co.

First light on FM 521 and the trailer is already loaded, because out here the day belongs to whoever starts it before the heat does. Sebesta Lawn Co. runs its rounds early, mowing and edging and trimming and blowing down, property after property while the dew is still burning off and a breeze comes up out of the southeast. Fresno sits flat and open enough that you can watch the morning arrive across the entire horizon at once, all of it at the same time. By the hour most people reach the road, a dozen yards are already crisp and squared away. The route takes in Fresno and the towns strung along beside it.
