About One Awesome Dad

Saturday morning around Tanglewood belongs to the backyard: a sprinkler left running too long, a soccer ball in the flowerbed, somebody's dog patrolling the fence. One Awesome Dad works with all of that in mind, cutting the front so it looks sharp from the street and cutting the back so it is actually good to stand on barefoot. The mowing is done at a height that keeps the Bermuda dense through July, the edging gives the driveway a clean shoulder, trimming clears the swing-set posts and the base of the trees, and everything gets blown off the patio before the tools go up. Fertilization and weed control run through the growing months so the grass, not the clover, gets the water. A yard here is where a whole family spends its evenings, and it should feel like it.
