About Mr Stewart Services

October in Meadowbrook is announced by pecans — first a few on the driveway, then a steady rain of them, and behind that the leaves. Mr Stewart Services shows up for the whole of it, raking and hauling leaves off the big east-side lots, cutting the grass down as it slows, edging the walks back out from under a season's creep. A blue norther comes through some Tuesday afternoon and the temperature drops thirty degrees before supper; the yards need one more pass afterward, and they get it. Alongside the mowing there is trimming, blowing, shrub work and the general straightening a property needs before winter light comes in low and shows everything. The reward is a yard that looks settled in November — swept, squared, ready to rest.
