Mow & Grow

About Mow & Grow

Fort Worth wakes early along the West Fork of the Trinity, where the trail lamps blink off one by one and the Bermuda comes up green after the first warm rain. Mow & Grow works that hour, mowing and edging and running the string trimmer around mailbox posts while river fog is still lying low in the bottoms. Spring here arrives all at once — paintbrush along the fence lines, the grass climbing, every yard asking to be caught up with. There is a plain pleasure in leaving a lawn at one even height with a border shorn straight down the drive, then coming back a week later to find the line still holding. Fertilization and weed control keep the turf ahead of the crabgrass through a long Texas summer, and seasonal cleanups carry it to the far side of the year. Mow, then grow, in that order.
