The Fort Yard Service

About The Fort Yard Service

People call it the Fort, and from the bluff above the Trinity you can see why the name stuck — the downtown towers on high ground, the river bending below, the West Fork trails threading off toward the prairie. The Fort Yard Service works the neighborhoods on and under that rise, starting in the cool of morning while the bluff still throws its shadow across the bottoms. Mowing sets the height, edging draws the border along curb and walk, trimming cleans up whatever the deck cannot reach, and the blower takes the clippings off the concrete instead of leaving them for the wind. Fertilization and weed control keep the turf full through a summer that does not negotiate, and seasonal cleanups reset the yard twice a year. A well-kept lawn in this town looks like it belongs to somebody who means to stay.
