About DFW Organic Lawn Care

Fort Worth sits where the blackland prairie hands off to the cross timbers, and its soil remembers it — heavy clay that cracks open in a dry August and turns to gumbo after a March rain. DFW Organic Lawn Care works with that ground rather than against it, mowing at heights that let the turf shade its own roots, and timing visits to the wet spring stretch when the grass climbs fastest. Edges are cut along the drive and the sidewalk, the trimmer taken to fence lines and bed borders, and clippings returned to the lawn where they can do some good. Beds get weeded and tidied so the planting, not the volunteers, holds the eye. A lawn here is a small piece of prairie under management, and it responds to steady attention more than to force.
