A & B Lawn and Garden

About A & B Lawn and Garden

April evenings arrive slowly in the old bungalow blocks of Fort Worth — porch lamps flicker on, crape myrtles push out their first leaves, and someone at the end of the street is watering a bed by hand. A & B Lawn and Garden works both halves of its name, the mow, edge and trim across the turf and the planting beds that frame it. Shrubs get shaped, bed lines recut into the stiff local clay, and weeds lifted out of the mulch before they settle in. The grass is cut to a length that will hold its color deep into a long North Texas summer, and the walkways are cleared so nothing follows anyone indoors. A yard around here is seen mostly from the front steps, and that is where the finished look is aimed.
