About Next Tree Service

At Fort Bliss the Franklins stand up brown and sharp against the morning, and every tree in the desert below is one somebody chose to plant and keep alive. Next Tree Service treats them accordingly — mesquite and desert willow pruned to a strong frame, cottonwood and ash limbs lifted off roofs, the dead wood dry years leave behind cut away. Late summer brings the monsoon, and one storm can push a top-heavy tree onto a wall or a driveway; the clearing after runs from the first cut to the last twig off the gravel. Removals are made in close quarters, section by section, with the ground gone over before they leave. Shade is hard-won out here, and the work is about keeping as much of it standing as possible.
