About LawnLab

Forney sits on the Blackland Prairie, and the soil under these yards is a heavy dark clay that swells with rain, cracks in drought, and forgives very little in between. LawnLab treats that as the starting condition rather than an excuse — mowing height set to the season, edges recut where the clay has heaved a walk, trimming kept tight, clippings returned or hauled depending on what the turf needs that week. Watching a lawn answer a month of steady work is close to reading an experiment: change one thing, hold the rest constant, listen to what the grass says. North Texas supplies plenty of variables — heat, hail, humidity, a bone-dry September. The findings show up in color and density, right there in the front yard.
