The first real mow of the year in Euless tends to land when the redbuds are open and Little Bear Creek is running full after a week of rain. Zach and Cody's landscaping takes that cut seriously: winter's litter raked out first, then the opening pass, then the edges re-established along walks that have been half-buried since Thanksgiving. After that it settles into rhythm, mowing and edging, trimming the fence lines and bed borders, blowing the drive clean, week after week into the long heat. Grass wakes up fast in this soil and does not stop, so staying ahead of it is most of the job. By May a yard done this way looks like someone lives there on purpose.
