J & D TURF

About J & D TURF

By late afternoon on the Westside, the Franklin Mountains lay their long shadow across the yards, and the Bermuda turf takes the cool like a held breath. J & D Turf works those blocks with mower and edger, cutting a line along the sidewalk so clean you could follow it home in the dark. Desert ground asks for patience, and grass here is earned blade by blade, watering day by watering day. The weekly mow, the trimming around block walls and mailbox posts, the weeds pulled from the gravel margin where lawn ends and desert begins — all of it adds up to one green stretch holding its own against a mountain of tan rock. That is a small, stubborn kind of beauty, and it is worth doing right.
