Southern Grounds Maintenance

About Southern Grounds Maintenance

Winter around East Mountain runs more often gray and dripping than white, but every so often an ice storm glazes the pines and sends their limbs crashing down across the yards. Southern Grounds Maintenance keeps grounds in order through the cold stretch and the growing season too, gathering fallen limbs and pine cones, clearing soggy leaves off the dormant grass, and trimming back the shrubs before spring pushes them out of shape. It is unglamorous work done on raw, damp afternoons, and it is the reason a lawn comes through winter breathing instead of smothered. When the Bermuda wakes in spring, the ground underneath is ready for the mower rather than buried under a season's debris. That is what maintenance means here: staying with a place through the gray days so it can shine on the bright ones.
