About Boettcher Hlavinka Co

First light on the coastal prairie arrives all at once out here, with nothing tall enough to slow it down. Boettcher Hlavinka Co takes lawns in East Bernard while the dew is still heavy enough to darken a boot, cutting the first clean pass of the day across St. Augustine and Bermuda alike. Mowing, edging, string trimming along fence lines and flower beds, and hauling the clippings off so a yard looks finished rather than merely cut — that is the whole of the work, done in that order. By the time the heat stacks up over the rice ground west of town, the turf stands even and the walks are clear. A yard that looks looked-after is a small thing, and it is the one this crew chases every morning.
