About Gulf Coast Landscape Co.

The bay is close enough to Deer Park that you can feel it in the air by mid-morning: salt on the breeze, a haze building east over the water, and by three o'clock a wall of gray shouldering up from Galveston Bay with rain in it. Gulf Coast Landscape Co. plans the day around that sky, getting yards mowed, edged and trimmed before the first fat drops hit the sidewalk. Coastal grass grows hard and fast in this wet heat, so the beds get cut back, the hedges kept in bounds and the storm litter cleared out of the corners each visit. There is a particular pride in leaving a lawn tight and clean just ahead of weather, knowing it will drink the rain and come back greener. The route runs Deer Park and out along the shoreline towns.
