Baker's lawn service

About Baker's lawn service

Out here the day starts before the heat does. Crandall sits on the black prairie soil east of Dallas, where the ground holds water like a sponge and gives back grass that grows fast enough to hear. Baker's lawn service works the early hours, when dew still beads on the Bermuda and a mower leaves a clean dark stripe behind it. Mowing, edging along the walks, trimming the fence lines, a blower run over the drive — small things, done in order, until a yard looks like somebody cares about it. By the time the sun clears the tree line off the farm road, the work is behind them and the street looks brand new.
