About Whit Tom Lawns

Late spring in Covington arrives on a steady south wind that ripples across the Hill County fields and sets every porch chime talking. Whit Tom Lawns tends the yards of this little prairie town, cutting and trimming while the morning is still mild. The land out here rolls wide and open, so a kept lawn stands out like a pressed shirt at Sunday supper. The pride is in the plain result: grass at one height, edges true, clippings blown off the walk. In a town small enough that neighbors notice everything, that kind of order is its own friendly wave.
