A & J

About A & J

Late in the day, when the light goes long and gold over Lake Halbert and the cypress throw their shadows back toward town, A & J is finishing the last yard on the list. Mowing, string trimming and blow-down, done in that order and carried out to the fence line — the corners nobody looks at are the ones that give a lawn away. Summers in Navarro County run hot and generous, and grass here grows like it means it, which is why a set schedule matters more than any single big push. Bagged or mulched, the cut comes out even, and the edge along the drive is drawn straight. Yards from the lake road into Corsicana proper and out to Powell and Rice all get the same close of day.
