About VeterLawn

Cross the JFK Causeway before sunrise and the water on both sides goes from black to pewter to blue in about ten minutes. VeterLawn is usually already working by then — the mower down the long axis of the yard, its lines laid parallel and kept that way, the edger opening a hard seam where the St. Augustine meets the sidewalk. Island lots take sand and salt and a wind that never sits down, so trimming, blowing and carrying the cuttings out are not afterthoughts. Beds get weeded and shrubs get taken back before they crowd the walk. Order is the whole idea here, and it shows from the street.
