Shaw Tree & Lawn Care

About Shaw Tree & Lawn Care

Every few winters an ice glaze comes down over Copperas Cove overnight, and in the morning the live oaks are bent low and the pecans have shed whatever they were not willing to carry. Shaw Tree & Lawn Care goes out into that aftermath — deadwood taken out of the crowns, hanging limbs brought down before they choose their own moment, brush cut up and hauled away. Thinning a tree properly lets more light onto the grass below, which is where the lawn side of the work begins: mowing, edging, and trimming close around the trunks without ever scarring the bark. Spring finds those yards open and bright, the canopy sound overhead and the turf coming back underneath. It is a two-part job with one aim, which is a yard that looks after itself better once you have been there.
