Golden Bear Lawns

About Golden Bear Lawns

Late in the day the sun drops low through the loblollies out by W.G. Jones State Forest and the south end of Conroe goes gold for about twenty minutes. Golden Bear Lawns works that hour often — the last yard of the route, mower lines running long and bright across the St. Augustine. Mowing, edging, string trimming and a full blow-down of the walks are the whole of it, done in order, done the same way each visit. Pine straw comes off the beds, the driveway edge gets its sharp line back, and the grass holds the pattern until the next pass. In a county built out of pine and sand, a well-kept yard is a small clearing you made on purpose.
