About Colorado City Maintenance Facility

West of the Cap Rock the sky takes up most of the view, and Colorado City sits under it with mesquite along the edges and turbines turning slow on the far horizon. Colorado City Maintenance Facility handles grounds work in that country: mowing, edging, trimmer work along fence lines and lot corners, brush knocked back, and general yard upkeep on a rotation. Buffalo grass and Bermuda here grow on whatever rain the year decides to give, which makes some months cutting months and others clearing months. After a good June storm the whole town greens for two weeks and everything needs mowing at once. Keeping ground tended in dry country carries its own quiet satisfaction.
