About All Star Lawn & Landscape

Coldspring sits in the middle of the Sam Houston National Forest with its courthouse square at the center and Lake Livingston shining a few miles east through the pines. Loblolly needles come down here all year, so a yard is never quite finished with cleanup — which suits All Star Lawn & Landscape, whose week is mowing, edging, trimming and raking out what the woods drop. In April the dogwoods open white back in the shade and the whole county looks briefly like a painting; in the heat of August the pines throw enough shade to make evening work bearable. Turf under East Texas trees needs a patient hand and a higher blade. Done right, a lawn out here reads like a clearing someone chose to keep.
