About Gonzalez Professional Services

The ground beneath Cockrell Hill is old blackland prairie: sticky as putty after a rain, hard as a dinner plate by August. A lawn here is a negotiation with that clay, and Gonzalez Professional Services conducts it week by week — mowing at a height that shades the roots, edging where the soil wants to crumble away from the walk, trimming what the mower can't reach. Spring turns the whole neighborhood loose at once, and the first few cuts of the year do most of the work of setting a yard right. After that it is rhythm: same day, same care, the clippings gone and the drive swept. The place looks tended, which on a street this close-knit is a kind of good manners.
