Out past Buttercup Creek the Ashe juniper still grows in thickets — the same cedar that gave this town its name — and whole neighborhoods were laid right into it. Jaimes Brothers landscaping works those Cedar Park yards, mowing the St. Augustine in the shade and the Bermuda out in the open, edging walks, trimming around the tree trunks and along every fence. Cutting grass beneath old cedars means working around roots and rock and getting the line right anyway. Each visit ends with the walks and drive blown clear. The result is a yard that looks deliberate, which is the whole idea.
