Your Local Grass Guy

About Your Local Grass Guy

On a Saturday morning in April, the old downtown square in Carrollton smells like cut grass and coffee, and a freight is easing through on the rail line that made the town in the first place. That is the week Your Local Grass Guy earns his name — spring here comes in loud, with storms stacking up in the west on Thursday and everything a green inch taller by Sunday. The answer is simple and it is steady: mow it, edge it, trim what the mower cannot reach, then blow the clippings off the walk so the finished yard is the only thing you notice. Weeds get treated, feeding goes down when the soil is warm enough to use it, and the height comes up as the days lengthen. It is neighborhood work, one street at a time, and the reward is a clean strip of edge along the sidewalk that holds its line all week.
