About Back 40 Briar & Beam, LLC

Out past Rebecca Creek the lots run long, and the back acre usually belongs to briar, cedar and whatever the deer decided not to eat. Back 40 Briar & Beam takes on that far edge — clearing overgrowth, cutting brush off fence lines and trails, hauling the piles away, then keeping the mowed ground near the house squared up with true edges and trimmed borders. Winter is the right season for it in this country, when cold has knocked the growth flat and you can finally read the shape of the land underneath. Reclaiming a back forty is slow, loud, dusty work with a very good ending. The house stops feeling surrounded and starts feeling settled.
